The Library of Things (LOT) service supports lifelong learning and creativity. It is a collection of many unexpected items that cardholders can borrow to explore new interests, learn new skills, help with everyday tasks, and more. Items are divided into several different categories, depending on their type. Most items may be reserved online.
Circulating objects marked as “specialty items” have specific borrowing guidelines. Borrowers must read and understand the Library of Things Lending Policy and sign the Library of Things User Agreement & Liability Waiver in order to checkout a specialty item. Signed agreements will be kept on file with the Metcalfe County Public Library for one year. Items with this status cannot be reserved online.
