Ways to Support MCPL

Corporate Donations

If your corporation wishes to donate to the mission of the Metcalfe County Public Library, please contact us for more information.

Program Donations

We gladly accept donations towards specific library related programs, such as the annual Summer Reading Program. Please contact us for more information.

Personal Donations

The library accepts donations of books and magazines under the following conditions:

If you have 10 items or less:

Please bring them inside during the library's open hours and a staff member will compare your donation with our accepted items checklist.
Items not accepted by the library must be removed by the patron at the time of assessment.

If you have more than 10 items:

We are currently not accepting large donations of more than 10 items until further notice.

We accept new or like-new items. We cannot accept the following:

Textbooks, encyclopedias, CDs
Items with writing inside or library stickers/markings
Hardbacks missing dust jackets
Items with odors, dirt, mold, etc.

The Metcalfe County Public Library reserves the right to refuse any donation.

The Metcalfe County Public Library cannot be responsible for the disposal of items that are not accepted.

Donate In Memoriam

Our Memorial Form enables you to donate funds that will be used to purchase an item for the collection. A memorial book plate will be placed inside the front cover of the item. While you may not be able to select exact titles for memorial items, you can give suggestions for general subjects or area of interest.

To make a donation in a loved one’s name, please fill out our Memorial form. The library also welcomes monetary donations!
